  1. A) Anaerobic glycolysis. RBCs do not contain Mitochondria. The pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) is not for energy but for production of NADPH+ (reducing agent) and ribose 5 phosphate (for synthesis of nucleic acids and nucleotides)
